On the last day of creation, God wanted to crown his work and created the Kornati from tears, stars and breath – this is how Kornati was described by Nobel laureate George Bernard Shaw. The stone maze of eighty nine islands, islets and cliffs in the sea – these are the Kornati islands. In the bays of this national park the picturesque restaurants and taverns is to be found; Koromašna Bay is a true Mediterranean gem, the island of Lavsa – once served as a storage of salt, the island of Mana which was one of the movie locations for filmmaking of “As the Sea Rages” from 1959 are only a fraction of the beauty of this unique national park.
