Kakan is an island located west of Žirje. It is inhabited occasionally, during the tourist season. One of its inhabitants are the owners of the Sedmo nebo Tavern surrounded by stone and olive trees, where fresh fish, homemade olive oil and a rich offer of top quality local wines are always on the menu.
The island of Žirje is located 22 kilometers southwest from Šibenik in the vicinity of the Kornati National Park. It stands out for its natural beauty, the wild and untouched nature, the clear and blue sea, rocky beaches such as those in Velika and Mala Stupica, Koromašna and Tratinska bays, which are favourite place of many sailors. It is one of the most outlying inhabited island of the Šibenik archipelago, located 15 kilometers southwest of Šibenik. Island of Kaprije is a hidden oasis of peace in the sea worth every attention. There are two ports with several mooring berths. In the quiet Medoš bay there is the Kunjka Tavern, whose stairs are really worth climbing; Dalmatian prosciutto, local cheeses, delicacies and culinary delights for all meat and fish lovers. In addition to enjoying home-made food, the tavern offers most beautiful sea view. Bays on Kaprije worth to see are definitely Gračice, Remetić and Velika and Mala Nozdra where the turquoise sea will leave you breathless for sure.
On the last day of creation, God wanted to crown his work and created the Kornati from tears, stars and breath – this is how Kornati was described by Nobel laureate George Bernard Shaw. The stone maze of eighty nine islands, islets and cliffs in the sea – these are the Kornati islands. In the bays of this national park the picturesque restaurants and taverns is to be found; Koromašna Bay is a true Mediterranean gem, the island of Lavsa – once served as a storage of salt, the island of Mana which was one of the movie locations for filmmaking of “As the Sea Rages” from 1959 are only a fraction of the beauty of this unique national park.

The island of Vrgada attracts many nature lovers because of its untouched nature. The dense pine forest, crystal clear and easily accessible beaches are the main feature of this island. Tisno is located partly on the island of Murter and partly on land, separated by a narrow channel only 38 meters wide. It is connected by a drawbridge that rises twice a day during the summer months. Tisno is a Dalmatian settlement with stone houses and streets, spacious squares, scented Mediterranean vegetation and long waterfront. Here you can enjoy many taverns, restaurants and beaches as well.
The island of Murter is the largest and most populated island of the Šibenik archipelago separated from the mainland by the narrow Murter channel. On the island of Murter you will find beautiful beaches and bays such as Slanica and Čigrađa. Island of Prvić near Vodice, is an island with two settlements. In the second settlement, Prvić Luka, is the Memorial Center Faust Vrančić dedicated to this great Renaissance inventor, scientist and innovator, best known for his invention of parachute.
